More recently a third resort is springing up: This is Meribel Villages which is located on the road to La Tania and Courchevel.

Details

Meribel is beautiful and sunny, has lots of easy skiing and has great shopping & après ski in Meribel centre. There is a large selection of restaurants, bars and shops in Meribel-Centre giving Meribel its lively reputation. Meribel is a charming resort to look at and in many ways rivals Courchevel which has traditionally attracted the French jet set crowd. It has more catered chalets than virtually any other resort in France.

Lying at the heart of the largest inter-connected ski area in the world, Meribel is a resort in a league of its own. It is undoubtedly the prettiest village in Les Trois Vallées and is an excellent base from which all levels of skier can explore over 600km of piste. Stretching from the fashionable Courchevel to the high altitude skiing of Val Thorens, the domain offers an unrivalled expanse and variety of slopes, all covered by one ski pass. With the best lift system to be found anywhere, you can ski in all three valleys in a single day without ever having to remove your skis.
